First off a big thank you to Cst. Andrew Sallows with Smoky Lake RCMP &  Smoky Lake District Officer Erik Graf Von Platen for helping to make our school presentations a success. They attend the schools with our director Patty Franchuk to speak to the students about crime prevention in the school, their communities as well as their homes. All the students got packages to take home to share with their families. These packages included pens, rulers, tattoos, a picture to color, tips sheets on how to call for help & keep your property safe, pencils, bike reflectors, school bus safety tips, bike safety tips, whistles, activity books on Bear Smarts, Bertie the Beaver & Street Talk.

Thank you to Smoky Lake Fish & Wildlife, Safe Roads, Solicitor General for assisting by providing the items to give to the students.

Lastly thank you to the teachers & staff at HAK, Vilna & Waskatenau Schools for allowing us to come into the school to promote crime prevention in the Smoky Lake County.

The businesses in Waskatenau & Vilna were also given Business Fraud Prevention tips sheets on how to recognize fraudulent activities.
